Compare the handover, then the full terms
The first supplier question at Kos Airport is practical: where will you collect the keys? The airport’s current public rental directory lists several companies in the arrivals public area. A booking site may also show meet-and-greet or shuttle offers, but those arrangements must be checked in the selected offer and voucher.
Airport listing
The airport directory names Avance, Avis Budget, Enterprise and Hertz Thrifty in Arrivals.
Offer-specific
Meet-and-greet or shuttle instructions must be on the chosen voucher.
Flight and hours
Check opening times, flight-number request and delayed-arrival policy.
Exact location
Confirm parking area, key return, fuel rule and out-of-hours process.
What the airport itself lists
The Kos Airport car-rental directory currently lists Avance, Avis Budget, Enterprise and Hertz Thrifty in “Arrivals, All Users”. This is a location listing, not a ranking, quality score, price comparison or guarantee that a particular vehicle is available through this site. The airport can update its directory; confirm the relevant supplier and meeting point shortly before travel.
A brand named in the airport directory may be represented differently on a booking platform. Conversely, an offer from another supplier may use a shuttle or meet-and-greet arrangement. Do not infer the pickup method from the logo alone; the chosen offer and voucher control.
Desk, meet-and-greet or shuttle
An arrivals desk may be convenient if its stated hours cover your landing and the paperwork is completed there. Verify whether the car is parked at the terminal or elsewhere. Meet-and-greet can mean meeting a representative at a specified point; ask for the location and contact details. A shuttle can add a transfer to an off-airport location; confirm where it leaves, how often it runs and the return procedure.
For any method, include flight delays, baggage time and after-hours charges in the decision. If the voucher does not clearly match the advertised pickup method, resolve it with the booking provider before departure.
Arrival
Save the supplier phone number, desk or meeting instructions and flight number requirement offline.
Collection
Check the vehicle condition, fuel level, deposit/card terms and signed paperwork before leaving.
Return
Allow time for refuelling, locating the return area and an inspection; keep proof of return.
Compare conditions across offers
First compare the actual pickup method and whether it fits your flight. Then compare only offers with workable handover instructions and hours. A supplier rating needs a current, attributable source and sample; the airport directory itself provides none, so this guide makes no quality ranking.
Use our Kos Airport booking guide for the airport journey, deposit and card guide for collection requirements and vehicle-type guide for fit. If a car is needed only for selected days after arrival, compare hotel delivery too.
At collection, verify the actual registration, inspect existing damage and keep a copy of the signed condition report. At return, allow enough time to reach the specified location and retain proof that the keys and car were handed back. These steps matter whichever supplier or pickup method you select.
