The beach is has crystal-clear shallow waters that attract tourists from all over the world.

Tigaki Beach also attracts surfers due to its waves at a small distance from the beach. There are also water sports facilities with instructors for the more adventurous types. You can access Tigaki beach by the local bus or a private car easily.

Marmari beach is another excellent choice if you prefer long sandy beaches. Even though there are several hotels located in the area, there is always space since the beach is really long and can accommodate hundreds of people.

Whether you prefer a more crowded place with beach bars, chairs and umbrellas or a more quiet place to swim and relax, Marmari beach is your best bet. Keep in mind that the waters contain a thick line of seaweed which are present all year round, but they do not cause any problems swimming or getting in the water.

Unfortunately, it is not one of the best choices and it is located kinda off-the-beaten-routes, Limnionas beach consists actually of two beaches, one which is windy and the other one which is a little dark and dirty. This is a special beach of Kos island since you can find natural hot springs that will do wonders for your health, bones and body composition. While it’s not the best beach for conventional swimming, the hot springs will make up for it. Usually the hot springs are crowded, but you’ll always find a spot to relax and the experience is amazing.

Tip: Don’t get fooled by the parking signs at the top of the hill. Make your way down and park right at the beach since there is ample parking space below.

Paradise beach is the last beach you will encounter as you leave Kefalos village. The beach is famous for its clear waters and the fine sand. You can also find an excellent restaurant with seafood right at the beach.

Cavo Paradiso Beach

If you’re looking for a quiet and isolated beach, then look no further, Cavo Paradiso beach is what you need. It is hidden in the island’s southern tip and it’s only 30 minutes drive from Kefalos village. The beach looks exotic with its crystal-clear waters and golden sun overlooking the Aegean sea.

While there are chairs and umbrellas, the beach consists of virgin segments where you can create your own setting and atmosphere as you wish. Cavo Paradiso beach is the last beach in a long stretch of sand and it’s most likely the most beautiful one.
